A Dip into E(p/th)ics...

वागर्थ विवा सम्प्रुक्थोव वागार्थो प्रतिपत्थाये ||
जगाथाहा पिथारो वंदे पार्वती परमेश्वरो ||

just imagine!! Every thing magnified to a scale of a thousand....
no compromise on absolute perfection,
- thats what are the epics from the tech point of view.
every incident relating itself to today's ultra-modern technology.
"bramhaastra" corresponding to today's hitech nuclear weapons,
pushpakvimaan -a dream come true airplane; a (100 +1) kauravas-cloning and tissue culture;
slowing down of biological processes--hence living a much longer life,
all this is way tooo much for (a poet to think so technically)it to be jus imagination.
every sage living for tens of thousands of years..
eg: vashishta (right from beginning of ikshvaku dynasty until Rama's time n even more)
n coming to my fav character-- vishwamitra (man! god level !!)
every time he sits for penance -a minimum is 1000 yrs..
one of my kind [ ;-) ], proud at times(in his early times)
but still has a really good deal of patience..

its not very long that we heard of people of age 96 or 108 (of course in newspapers)
also about pple running on water, holding their breath longer than the normal (creating world records)
well the way we see it -certainly not very obvious, may be these are streaks of those
qualities of our ancestors that are dwindling away...with the evolving generations..

well ,makes me wonder what they must have done
- that makes their life so conditioned ...

perfection coupled with most humble approach;
being the best n still feeling like "i'm jus a speck before the almighty"

n surely im proud to belong to this clan, to be an heir to these big heads.
certainly, can say with my head high up in the air that "these are my ancestors"
n "this, is the cultural heritage of my country n this is the culture that i inherit"
